Matt served on the Board of Directors for the Hawaii Hotel & Lodging Association (“HHLA”) from 1999 through 2007. Matt was the past-Chairman for the year 2005-06, as well as chaired the 28th Annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk, and lead a statewide effort to raise over $1 million in one day.

The Hawai’i Hotel & Lodging Association (HHLA) is a statewide trade association of hotels, timeshares, condos, hotel management firms, hotel owners, suppliers, and other related firms and individuals. HHLA is a partner state association of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, the largest hotel & lodging association in the world.
